Wheelthrown porcelain bud vase in color-changing glossy Alexandrite glaze with a tape resist pattern and hand-painted black underglaze.
The Alexandrite glaze is dichroic, which means it changes color depending on the type of light that hits it. It is purple in daylight and LED light, gray or blue in different fluorescent lighting, and pinkish purple in incandescent light. You can see an example of this glaze on a different pot in different lighting in the last photo.
