Wheelthrown porcelain bowl in white and color-changing Alexandrite glaze with hand-carved and inlaid design.
This glaze is dichroic, which means it changes color depending on the type of light that hits it. It is purple in daylight and LED light, and gray or blue in different fluorescent lighting, and pinkish purple in incandescent light. These photos are all of the same bowl, just in different lighting.
